Armenian weightlifters win 80 medals during 2017 international tournaments

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS. Armenian weightlifters won 80 medals in international tournaments during 2017, General Secretary of the Weightlifting Federation, coach of the Armenian team Pashik Alaverdyan told a press conference in Armenpress.

“We had 78 medals. We will have two more medals in several days. Mkrtich Mkrtchyan, who was 4th at the Europe championship, will now receive his bronze medals”, Alaverdyan said.

He said 36 out of 80 were gold medals, 21 were silver and 23 were bronze medals.
