YEREVAN, JANUARY 28, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian Army is the state’s most accomplished, most pivotal and viable structure, lawmaker of the Republican Party faction Khosrov Harutyunyan told ARMENPRESS.

“The background of the Armenian Army is directly tied with the background of our statehood. As result of the liberation, fedayee movement, a powerful, battle-worthy structure – dedicated to the people – was reborn. This is the achievement of all of us, because the Army is first of all the result of each citizen’s direct or indirect participation. Each citizen, young or old, is automatically taking part in the army-building process”, Harutyunyan said. The MP drew special attention to the combat spirit of the Armenian Army, which was maximally demonstrated during the April War.

“Although each citizen was grieving for our heroes, however they were proud to have raised such sons. If I am asked which is the greatest achievement,  I will say the youth of the four-day war”, Harutyunyan said.

Khosrov Harutyunyan highlighted the nation-army ideology. “. Nation-Army is first of all a call for patriotism and defense of the Fatherland”, he said, adding that each citizen must contribute to raising the security and protection of the country.
