Russia’s Federation Council appoints Sahak Karapetyan Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS. Russia’s Federation Council appointed Sahak Karapetyan Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia during the plenary session on December 14, reports TASS.

The Russian President proposed his candidacy. Russia’s Prosecutor General Yury Chayka presented Sahak Karapetyan during the session.

During the December 13 session the Council of the Federation Committee on Constitutional Legislation supported Karapetyan’s candidacy. Committee chairperson Andrey Klishas said Karapetyan fully meets the qualification requirements.

Previously Sahak Karapetyan was the head of the General Department of International-Legal cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia.

It is supposed Karapetyan will deal with international cooperation issues in the Prosecutor General’s Office.
