Street renamed “Armenian” in Mohyliv-Podilskyi, Ukraine

YEREVAN, JULY 30, ARMENPRESS. The Sh. Gvardeyskaya Street of Mohyliv-Podilskyi, Ukraine, has been renamed to “Armenian” by the City Council’s decision, local authorities informed the Union of Armenians of Ukraine.

Therefore, historic name return of streets and settlements in Ukraine continues.

Armenians have settled in Mohyliv-Podilskyi in the beginning of the 18th century. The first Armenian Church was built here in 1743, and in 1791 a new church was constructed.
