YEREVAN, DECEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS. Two members of Armenia youth fencing team: Eduard Ovikyan and Michael Hovhannisyan participated in another round of the Fencing World Cup. “Armenpress” reports the aforementioned referring to the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia.

Ovikyan had 3 victories in the group stage thus appearing in top 128.  Then he managed to defeat the representative of Spain, but lost to the Russian representative.  He was able to win only two rounds.  278 athletes from different countries participated in this competition. 

Michael Hovhannisyan had 4 victories in the group stage. He was included in top 64 players, but lost to the Japanese athlete. He won 2 ranking points for the Olympic Games.

The season for fencers is completed.  Fencing Championship of Armenia will be held in January, 2016.
