YEREVAN, OCTOBER 5, ARMENPRESS. The President of the National Assembly of Armenia Galust Shakayan addressed a congratulatory message on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. As “Armenpress” was informed by Public Relations and Media Department of the National Assembly of Armenia the message reads:

“Dear teachers,

I congratulate you on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. It is not a reminder of a profession or work as it is not a mere professional holiday but a universal celebration.  It is the reference of the state calendar to the types of persons that do not work at school but are the school themselves, who not only teach but also bring up, not only educate and give knowledge but outline during years the map of our lives which becomes the basic guideline in our life.”

Dear teachers,

The life history of our homeland, people as well as each individual is written with your participation. You form both the source of victory and the result, you teach to love the country  and build a state,  to become a citizen and a soldier, perceive school as home, family – as homeland and love them and be devoted to them equally, protect and preserve with the same sincerity. Thanks to those lessons, the Armenian people will persist, the uninterrupted movement of our country towards a more prosperous future will continue the foundations, the walls and the roof of which are built with your immediate participation.

I wish you good health, prosperity and optimism.”
