Torch of pan-Armenian games blessed at St.Tadeh church in Iran

ISFAHAN, JULY 27, ARMENPRESS. The torch of pan-Armenian games, which will be held in August, was blessed at the presence of thousands of pilgrims at the end of the three-day pilgrimage to St. Tadeh church of Atropatene.

Armenpress reports, referring to “Alik”, that State Officials of Iran and Armenia, the representatives of the national authorities of the three Armenian-Iranian dioceses attended the Pan-Armenian Games' torch lighting ceremony.

The Pan-Armenian Games are a multi-sport event, held between competitors from the Armenian Diaspora and Armenia. They consist of various competitions in individual and team sports among the Armenian athletes. The Games are open to Armenian passport-holders (irrespective of national origin) and citizens of other countries who have Armenian descent. Spouses of those of Armenian descent are also eligible to compete.
