YEREVAN, JUNE 13, ARMENPRESS. A number of freedom fighters consider the collapse of Shahumyan in the Artsakh Liberation War the failure of Armenia. Ararat Tsaturyan – co-president of Azerbaijani Armenians’ Assembly and freedom fighter – mentioned this in a meeting with the journalists on the anniversary of the collapse of Shahumyan on June 13.   

“Today there is no word about returning Shahumyan in the agenda of any party or political power but it is necessary to introduce it in the form of a complete pack, for instance, in the same Madrid Principles,” he said.

The freedom fighter highlighted that to this day the loss of Shahumyan has left a painful trace especially for the locals who cherished a hope to maintain their homes up to the last day.
