Greek parliamentary speaker will continue to support international recognition of the Armenian Genocide
YEREVAN, 25 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan received Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament Zoe Konstantopoulou, who is leading the Greek delegation participating in the events commemorating the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide.
As the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, the Prime Minister attached importance to the participation of Greece’s official delegation in the events commemorating the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, praised the partnership established between the two countries in different sectors and attached importance to the steps for further development of economic partnership and the strengthening of parliamentary relations.
Zoe Konstantopoulou expressed gratitude for the cordial reception and emphasized that she, as speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, would continue to contribute to the process of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide. The parliamentary speaker mentioned that Greece considers Armenia an ally and attached importance to the partnership within international organizations.
