43 world musicians against the Armenian Genocide, “24/04” orchestra’s concert kicks off- LIVE

YEREVAN, 24 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. The concert of the “24/04” orchestra comprised of 123 musicians from 43 countries has begun. As “Armenpress” reports, the concert called “Renaissance” is being held at the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet on the occasion of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide and is composed of four stages, including “Remembrance”, “Gratitude”, “International Struggle” and “Renaissance”.

 The four-part concert will include performances of the songs of Aram Khachaturian, Edgar Hovhannisyan, Ghazaros Saryan, Alexander Harutyunyan, Makar Yekmalyan, Avet Terteryan, Eduard Mirzoyan and others.

 During the performances, there will be showings of videos of the residences, culture and traditions of Western Armenia, as well as scenes of the massacres and the migration. There will also be reflections on the great humanists who played an important role in protecting the violated rights of the Armenian people and saving Armenian migrants.

 The songs will be performed under the direction of conductors Sergey Smbatyan, Ohannes Chekidjian, Gianluca Marcianò and Mikhail Yurovsky.
