Armenian Genocide denial criminalizing bill to be put to voting at Cyprus Parliament on April 2
NICOSIA, 31 MARCH, ARMENPRESS: On Thursday, April 2, at 11:00 am Cyprus time, the Parliament of the country will hold the voting of the Armenian Genocide denial criminalizing resolution. Armenpress was informed by its reliable sources from Cyprus that the bill requires punishment for the people, who will deny genocides, the crimes against the humanity, committed in war periods. The bill, submitted to the Parliament by the representative of the Armenian community of Cyprus, demands criminal responsibility for the denial of all genocides.
According to “Azad Or” periodical, published in Athens, the Speaker of the Cyprus Parliament Yannakis Omiru supports the resolution and spoke about its importance during his visit to Yerevan last November.
