George Clooney talked about importance of Armenian Genocide recognition through CNN
YEREVAN, 13 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. Talking about his Not On Our Watch organization’s decision to join the 100LIVES initiative, American movie star George Clooney mentioned that the genocide that happened in 1915 has not been acknowledged to this day. This is what Clooney said in an interview with CNN, as “Armenpress” reports.
“One of the things that’s so important to our organization is trying to prevent genocide before it happens, and part of it is acknowledging when it happened before. We can’t just ignore history,” said the actor.
Recalling the events that happened in Darfur, Clooney mentioned that it’s something that we have to bring attention to and prevent from happening again.
