Criminal case instituted in relation to shootings heard in Nubarashen District

YEREVAN, 4 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. In relation to the shootings heard in Nubarashen District of Yerevan on March 4, a criminal case has been instituted in the proceedings of the General Investigation Department for Specially Important Cases of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia under Article 104 (2)(1) [murder of two or more people) and Article 235 (illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. As the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, the Investigative Committee has created an investigative group and is taking urgent investigative actions to clarify all the circumstances behind the incident and identify the person(s) having committed the prima facie crime.

The shootings took the lives of three persons (Drastamat Tadevosyan, Levon Ghazaryan and Mesrop Nazaryants).

An operative-investigative group is at the scene of the crime. More information about the preliminary investigation will be provided later.
