YEREVAN, 23 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. During an interrogation, police officer Muhittin Zenit, who was arrested for the murder of Hrant Dink, accused senior officers of provoking him to have a telephone conversation with the organizers of the murder.

As “Armenpress” reports, citing the Turkish DemokratHaber, in his testimony Zenit said his commanders had used him as “bait” for the murder. Zenit also said the person who provoked him to talk to one of the criminals, agent for Trabizon’s police investigation department Erhan Tuncel on the day of the murder was the recently arrested police chief of Cizre, Ercan Demir, who was holding the office of head of the police investigation department of Trabizon when the crime was committed.
