YEREVAN, 12 DECEMBER, ARMENPRESS. The five members of an Armenian family having returned to the homeland after being held in captivity in Azerbaijan for five years told journalists about their living conditions in Baku.

“We lived in the building of the military police in Baku. We had a refugee status, but lived like hostages,” the head of the family, Yeghishe Gevorgyan said. When asked how they were treated, Yeghishe Gevorgyan said the treatment was inhumane. “I was electrocuted, and they forced my wife to abort our child. We wanted to free ourselves from captivity with her pregnancy,” Gevorgyan added, as “ArmenPress” reports.
