Armenian Government and UNICEF to continue cooperation
YEREVAN, OCTOBER 17, ARMENPRESS: The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan hosted the Regional Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Marie-Pierre Poirier. Marie-Pierre Poirier is in Armenia to take part in the annual meeting of the United Nations Children's Fund coordinators in the Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS.
The Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the Government of Armenia informed Armenpress that the Prime Minister highly evaluated the role of the United Nations Children's Fund in the protection of the children’s rights and the improvement of their health and the living standards in our country. Considering the activities of the organization to be efficient, Hovik Abrahamyan expressed readiness to continue assisting any UNICEF initiative. The Head of the Government highlighted the numerous programs implemented by the organization and assured that he will be consistent in the implementation of the reached agreements.
