“#2015RTAG. Recognize The Armenian Genocide” initiative gets new impetus
YEREVAN, OCTOBER 8, ARMENPRESS: The campaign launched by the Armenian community of Marseille at the threshold of the Armenian genocide centenary is becoming more and more popular.
As Armenpress reports, a larger number of Armenian and foreign figures from different countries of the world join the initiative posting their photos on social networks with “#2015RTAG. Recognize The Armenian Genocide” writings.
Earlier, First Lady of Armenia Rita Sargsyan, Culture Minister Hasmik Poghosyan, Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan, French MP Valérie Boyer, Hrant Dink’s attorney Fethiye Çetin had joined the initiative.
The purpose of the campaign is to make the Armenian Genocide recognizable in the global sense. People of different countries participate in the initiative, irrespective of the nationality, gender and age. They are photographed with “#2015RTAG. Recognize The Armenian Genocide” writings and post their photos in the internet. Special groups have been set up in the social networks, where users download their photos.
This way they call on Turkey and others states that have not yet acknowledged the Armenian Genocide to recognize the greatest crime committed against humanity in 1915. To make the initiative more massive, #2015RTAG hashtag is applied, which has already been used on Twitter and Facebook.
