Free expression of Scots’ will is realization of people’s self-determination
YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandian answered the question of tert.am on the referendum held in Scotland. The Department for Press, Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that to the question “How would you comment on the referendum held in Scotland?” Edward Nalbandian answered:
“Regardless of the outcome of the referendum the free expression of the will of Scots is an example of the realization of the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples. In any country, where human rights and democratic freedoms are respected, the principle of self-determination of peoples cannot be disregarded”.
