Levon Aronian looking forward to match with Anand

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. The leader of the Armenian men’s chess team Levon Aronian is looking forward to the match against Viswanathan Anand.

As reports “Armenpress” citing the official website of the tournament, Levon Aronian underscored: “I am always looking forward to the matches with Anand. He is a truly good chess player. The chess players like challenges and the match against Anand is a challenge.”

GM Levon Aronian is participating in the Grand Slam Chess Masters Final held on September 14-20, 2014 in Bilbao, Spain. The rivals of Aronian are Viswanathan Anand (India), Ruslan Ponomariov (Ukraine) and Francisco Vallejo Pons (Spain).

At the tournament 3 points are given for a victory and 1 point for a draw. Let us remind that Aronian won at the Grand Slam twice – in 2009 and 2013.
