CRIMEA, AUGUST 18, ARMENPRESS. This year’s representative of Armenia at “New Wave Junior” 12-year-old Davit Vardanyan, on August 17 - second day of contest, performed "Locked Out Of Heaven" song by Bruno Mars under the first number. The professional jury members gave 50 points to our delegate out of 55 possible.

In a conversation with “Armenpress” correspondent from Crimea, Davit’s music producer Grigor Kyokchyan mentioned, that this year a strange innovation took place on the second day of “New Wave Junior” contest. "Minutes before the concert started the organizers invited all the parents of the young participants from 17 countries to equally vote for the performers together with the jury. But the parents could not vote for their own children. When asked why they decided to do such a thing, the organizers said that the jury members were few, and they decided that the parents should also vote," noted Kyokchyan.

 This year, the international song contest “New Wave Junior 2014” is held in Crimea, at the central stadium "Artek", from August 5 to August 19. The actual competition is held on August 16-18. The contestants are judged by the talented jury including Igor Krutoy, Alessandro Safina, Nyusha, Lev Leschenko, Philipp Kirkorov.
