YEREVAN, APRIL 15, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute website provides photos of the 1914-1922 period, witnessing the displacement of the Armenian children. As reports “Armenpress”, in accordance with the information posted on the website of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, about 500 thousand Armenian children were assassinated (burnt, poisoned, smothered), died of famine and various epidemics. Many children who survived the Genocide became orphans, were turned Muslims by force. To save the survivors from impending death and to evacuate them from the territory of the Ottoman Empire, a number of Armenian unions, church organizations, international relief organizations (American Near East Relief Committee, the Mayor of London's Fund, the Danish Women's Union, the Russian Red Cross Society, the Union of Russian cities, etc.), as well as international organizations (the International Committee of the Red Cross, the League of Nations)carried out active works.
