YEREVAN, MARCH 6, ARMENPRESS: The process of the self-determination of the Crimea Autonomous Republic might become a precedent for the Nagorno Karabakh Republic. The positive attitude of the Russian Federation towards the self-determination of Crimea should be projected on Artsakh. The political expert Levon Shirinyan told about it at the press conference on March 6. “There is a great thing in this development for us, which could shine like a spotlight. What is it? It is the raise of the self-determination status of Crimea and even its separation from Ukraine. It is a 100% political step of the implemented self-determination right”, - stated Shirinyan, Armenpress reports.
The political expert reminded that the security guarantor of the self-determined Artsakh is the Republic of Armenia. “Crimea is getting self-determined and changes its status and the Russian Federation acts as a guarantor”, - noted Shirinyan, adding that the self-determination of Crimea could become a precedent for Artsakh. The expert reminded that since 1989 a struggle has been conducted not only for the independence of Artsakh but also for the joining the Motherland.
