60 percent of Yerevan citizens want to see Taron Margaryan as Yerevan Mayor: Gallup International Association

YEREVAN, MARCH 14, ARMENPRESS: In accordance to social survey called "Yerevan Citizens about Yerevan", conducted by Gallup International Association, 60 percent named Taron Margaryan while answering the question "Whom do you see in the office of Yerevan Mayor". As Armenpress reports Gallup International Association's Armenia Office Director Aram Navasardyan told the reporters the survey  was launched on March 9-11. In the words of the Director 17 per cent of surveyed people wants "Prosperous Armenia" party leader Gagik Tsarukyan to assume the office of Yerevan Mayor, 3 per cent are inclined to see former Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan on this post, 2 per cent stated that the head of the ARF fraction Armen Rustamyan is their favored nominee for the post of Yerevan Mayor. Office Director assures changes implemented in Yerevan city are positive. Gallup International Association Research Department Head Gayane Dajunts noted 60 per cent of Yerevan citizens called changes carried out in capital Yerevan in the course of one and a half year more positive, 7 per cent –positive, 17-per cent of survey participants did not respond. In the opinion of 56 per cent Yerevan habitants the key issue the city faces with is unemployment, 41 per cent named inflation, 9 per cent - emigration.1066 citizens participated in the survey.
