Corruption in the education sector reduced, yet there are efforts to be made: Minister of Education

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS: 2012 was difficult yet productive year for the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Armenia. Minister of Education Ashotyan came forth during final press conference with the journalists launched on December 22.  

According to Minister 16 Olympic medals scored by Armenian pupils is the most important achievements of current  year. "This was an unprecedented success''Ashotyan noted. In the words of the head of the Ministry the next achievement  was Bologna Secretariat decision to trust Armenia.  The investment of  ''Chess in schools" program became international brand in the educational sphere. Minister recalled CIS pedagogues second conference, where Armenia came forth successfully.

Touching upon the corruption in the field of science and education, Minister noted it has reduced, yet it has not reduced completely.'' Money collecting especially in capital’s schools has sharply decreased'' Ashotyan came forth with.
