Implementation of Government’s strategy of development of export to bring good results
YEREVAN, DECEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS:
There is an issue of attracting investments to Armenia's construction sphere, economist Karlen Khachatryan told a news conference today summing up the passing economic year. The latter believes that taking into consideration the sharp decline of the construction sphere it has become less attractive for many.
"We have many partially constructed buildings and as far as there is no demand among the population, no investments are being made in the sphere," Khachatryan said.
Referring to the sphere of agriculture, Khachatryan said according to the statistics 496 thousand of people are engaged in the sphere of agriculture. It is 45% of the total number of employment.
The economist noted that in case the Government's strategy of development of export is brought to life in 2015-18 noticeable results will be reached. The eleven branches separated in this sphere are the ones which were traditionally strong in Armenia.
