"The recent events have worried us a lot. I want to highlight two circumstances. First of all, restrictions on the free movement through the corridor between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh are unacceptable. The direct consequence of the blocking of the Lachin Corridor is the isolation of the NK population, the humanitarian consequences are getting worse day by day," said the representative. She emphasized that France calls for the unconditional resumption of the movement of goods and supplies through the corridor, while fully ensuring the rights of the population. France also emphasizes that, in accordance with the commitment of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the safety of the movement of people, vehicles and goods must be guaranteed along the Lachin Corridor. France also calls for providing immediate access to international organizations and UN agencies to work with affected populations. "France calls on both sides to create an environment that will be conducive to success and progress in the ongoing negotiations. It should only be through dialogue and not through the use of force. And all existing problems should be solved, the rights and guarantees for the population of Nagorno-Karabakh should be ensured," added the representative. The representative of France at the UN assured that, in parallel with the EU, France will continue to support the efforts for dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan. "We will support progress on all discussed topics, especially on the text of the peace treaty, delimitation, demarcation and opening of communication routes and achieving lasting peace in the region," she said. The representative of France reminded that the meeting held in Prague this year, in which the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President of Azerbaijan, the President of France, the President of the European Council participated, allows to achieve serious progress. France is ready to work with all parties and stakeholders to help achieve these goals.
