COVID-19: German medical team departs for Armenia

YEREVAN, JULY 13, ARMENPRESS. The two-week humanitarian mission of the German delegation to Armenia, consisting of doctors and healthcare specialists, has launched, the Armenian Embassy in Germany said.

“The humanitarian mission of doctors from Germany has departed for Armenia”, the Embassy said.

The mission has been organized by the German federal government, in joint partnership with the International Rescue and Search (ISAR), Caritas International and Robert Koch Institute.

The German doctors will help their Armenian colleagues in fighting the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

According to the latest data, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Armenia has reached 32,151, out of which 19,865patients have already recovered. The number of active cases stands at 11,530. The death toll has risen to 573.
