Armenia’s Judo Federation calls 2016 targeted, difficult

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS. Davit Khitaryan, general secretary of the Judo Federation of Armenia, finds 2016 to be difficult and targeted for judo.

“This year was a targeted and difficult year for us, like for all sports, which was associated with the Olympic Games. The Judo Federation of Armenia fulfilled all events included in the calendar schedule by 100%. Armenian athletes won 20 medals in official and international championships, the most significant being Hovhannes Davtyan: who won bronze in the European championship, one gold and one silver in the International youth championships”, Khitaryan told a press conference in ARMENPRESS.

According to Khitaryan, after the Armenian championship national teams of all age groups have been formed, which will train in 2017. The federation will launch a training camp December 13-26 in Tsakhkadzor.
