YEREVAN, DECEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS. The Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case on the armed incident near the F.Nansen school in Yerevan, the Investigative Committee told ARMENPRESS.

On December 5, the director of the school reported hearing gunshots near the school, which damaged the school’s windows. According to crime scene investigation, bullets have hit the front window and the sport hall’s window. Law enforcement agencies took immediate actions to determine the circumstances and all involved individuals.

According to initial information, at 13:30, December 5, A Mercedes Benz vehicle had been following a BMW X5 – which was approaching the school – and a person from the Mercedes Benz vehicle opened gunfire at the BMW X5 from an automatic weapon, damaging the car’s windshield. The shots also hit the school windows.

Several individuals have been questioned regarding the case, including eyewitnesses. Ballistic expertise is underway.

The Investigative Committee requested the Traffic Police to provide footage from traffic surveillance cameras of the nearby streets. The Nor Nork Police Department is conducting search operations to locate the perpetrator (perpetrators) and possible victims.

Law enforcement agencies will provide additional information.
