YEREVAN, DECEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS. The ministry of transportation, communications and information technologies reports that as of 09:30, December 2, snowfalls are observed across the highways of Maralik, Akhuryan, Ashotsk, Aparan, Aragats, Hrazdan, Stepanavan, Tashir, Vayk, Jermuk, Sisian, Goris and Meghri.

The ministry told ARMENPRESS the highways of Jajur, Keti mountain passes and Tashir region are partly covered with clear ice.

Currently, fog is observed in the highways of Masis, Artashat, Tashir, Maralik, Noyemberyan, Tavush and Meghri, maximum visibility is 70-80 meters.

Highway supervision agencies are carrying out 24 hour inspections across the highways and snow/ice clearing operations are underway.

Drivers are advised to travel using exclusively winter tires.
