5th round of Armenia-EU talks take place at Armenian Foreign Ministry

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 25, ARMENPRESS. The 5th round of negotiations between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union over the new framework agreement took place in Yerevan on October 25.

The Armenian delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Garen Nazarian while the EU delegation was led by Director for Russia, Eastern Patnership, Central Asia, Regional Cooperation and OSCE at the European External Action Service and Luc Pierre Devigne. The Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, representatives of the Armenian Foreign Ministry and other state agencies were also present.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of MFA Armenia, issues referring to different sections of the draft agreement were discussed during the talks.

A plenary session in an expanded format took place during the negotiations, which focused on the results of the talks in a number of spheres and the framework of the next round of talks was outlined.

The negotiating parties plan to hold the next meeting in Brussels in December of the current year.
