YEREVAN, OCTOBER 14, ARMENPRESS. The Collective Security Council’s session of the CSTO has kicked off in a narrow format in the Presidential Palace of Armenia.

President Serzh Sargsyan delivered opening remarks in the beginning of the session.

Sargsyan welcomed the guests and underscored that by joint efforts, they will try to do everything in order for the joint work to be full and effective, beneficial for cooperation and to contribute to the development of CSTO.

“Today we are going to discuss a wide range of issues, which concern decisions which we adopted in the past, several documents, which will outline our steps in the near prospect”, Serzh Sargsyan said.

President Sargsyan expressed hope that constructive mood will accompany the participants of the session and will give the chance to adopt new and important decisions promptly.

The President proposed confirming the agenda of the session, and announced that the CSTO Chairmanship will be passed over to Belarus after the session.
