Armenia Expo 2016: Armenian companies from all economic sectors to be presented in Iran

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Armenia Development Fund is organizing an exhibition of Armenian goods and services in Tehran, Iran.

The exhibition will be held on October 5-8 in Tehran International Exhibition Complex, press service of Armenia Development Fund informed “Armenpress”.

“Armenia Expo 2016” has been organized by the Ministry of Economy of Armenia and the Armenian Embassy to Iran. It aims to intensify Armenia-Iran trade-economic ties.

“Through the organization of this event we aim to present Armenia’s economic potential and development opportunities to the Iranian market which were more expanded by our membership to the EAEU. At the same time, we aim to reveal the advantages of having an access to new markets through our country for a wider circle of the Iranian businessmen. I hope during the Expo new business ties will be established between the Armenian and Iranian entrepreneurs, investments projects will be discussed which will be presented within the framework of the Expo”, Executive Director of Armenia Development Fund Karen Mkrtchyan said.

“The Government of Armenia has adopted and is carrying out active and multi-vector policy aimed at increasing the export volumes. The Government gives priority to the deepening of both political and economic relations, as well as productive and mutually beneficial cooperation with Iran”, Deputy Economy Minister Hovhannes Hovhannisyan said.

“I think today all preconditions exist which can increase the Armenian business’ interest towards Iran and the Iranian market. Among them are the elimination of sanctions against Iran, the result of it are the gradually increasing interest of the European, Russian and other states towards Iran, expansion of EAEU-Iran cooperation and possible trade liberalization, and, of course, the warm, friendly relations between our people. It is an imperative of time to make Armenia a business platform for countries and companies that have a wish to develop relations with Iran”, Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Harutyunyan said.

Goods and services of over 80 companies on a number of sectors will be presented in “Armenia Expo 2016”.

The application acceptance continues until September 20, including also via info@dfa.am (ph. 011.597.800).

Similar exhibition will be held in Yerevan as well, during which the goods and services of the Iranian companies will be presented.
