YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS. A solemn reception was organized for the Armenian medal winners of the Olympic Games of 2016 and their coaches on September 10. Expressing gratitude to them and wishing new achievements, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan mentioned that the Armenian people prove their confidence and power not only on the front line, but also in international tournaments, “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of the Defense Ministry of Armenia.

Thanking for the reception, the guests stated that they are also the soldiers of the Motherland and are always ready to participate in the defense of their country.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Seyran Ohanyan awarded the medal winning athletes of the 31th Olympic Games, Greco-Roman wrestling gold medalist Arthur Alexanyan, silver medalist Mihran Harutyunyan, silver medalists in weightlifting Simon Martirosyan and Gor Minasyan with “Garegin Nzhdeh” departmental medals.
