HALO Trust: Shepherds discover “Smerch” fragments in NKR village

YEREVAN, JUNE 1, ARMENPRESS. On May 30 shepherds found fragments of “Smerch” multiple rocket launcher in the Nagorno Karabakh village of Jabrayil, Halo Trust operating in the Nagorno Karabakh informs.

Twitter page of the organization informs that the search operations are underway.

In an interview with “Armenpress” NKR Defense Army spokesman Senor Hasratyan said the fragments belong to the “Smerch” applied by Azerbaijan against the Nagorno Karabakh during the April four-day war.

The fragments once again prove that Azerbaijan fired “Smerch” multiple rocket launcher against the civilian people of the Nagorno Karabakh during the April war.

The HALO Trust was founded in 1988 in response to the global humanitarian catastrophe caused by landmines. The problem was particularly acute in Afghanistan where thousands of civilians were being killed or injured by landmines and their presence was preventing the return of tens of thousands of refugees. The HALO Trust operates in Nagorno Karabakh, Mozambique, Cambodia, Somalia, Sri-Lanka, Eritrea, Abkhazia, Chechnya, Kosovo, Angola, and Afghanistan.
