German businessmen want to invest in Armenia

YEREVAN, MAY 19, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan received a delegation of German businessmen led by president of German Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union Olaf Tschimpke. The aim of the visit is to establish new contacts with Armenian businessmen and implementation of investment projects.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of the Government of Armenia, the PM highlighted the development of economic relations with Germany and the effective cooperation in environment protection. Hovik Abrahamyan expressed gratitude to the German side for the assistance in environmental, forest recovery and many other projects.

President of German Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union Olaf Tschimpke and the German Ambassador to Armenia Matthias Kiesler thanked the PM for the reception and highly appreciated Armenian-German partnership, including in the sphere of environment. Olaf Tschimpke mentioned that the aim of the businessmen comprised in his delegation is to establish new contact with Armenian partners and implement investment projects.

PM Abrahamyan hailed the initiative of the German businessmen and mentioned that Armenia has a number of economic branches with a potential to implement long-term projects , including in the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Union.
