Shavarsh Kocharyan: Turkey reveals a desire to spread wave of terrorism in South Caucasus

YEREVAN, ARPIL 12, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan referred to the statements by Turkish Foreign Minister stating that Turkey, manipulating Islamic solidarity, makes a dangerous attempt to artificially present the Azerbaijani military operations against the self-determined Nagorno Karabakh as a religious conflict.

As "Armenpress" was informed by the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Shavarsh Kocharyan, answering to the question by «News.am» agency “How can you explain the statements by the Turkish Foreign Minister made within the framework of the organization of Islamic cooperation summit in Istanbul, stated: “It is obvious that as a result of Turkey’s one-sided position and its support to Azerbaijan at all costs its interference in the settlement of Karabakh conflict will only bring harm. The evidence of it are the events conducted by Baku in the line of contact of Karabakh and Azerbaijan on April 2-5 and the provocative statements by Turkey.

In his speech to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Turkish Foreign Minister, manipulating Islamic solidarity, makes a dangerous attempt to artificially present the Azerbaijani military operations against the self-determined Nagorno Karabakh as a religious conflict.

The policy of Turkey’s current authorities results in instability, terrorism and the spread of the wave of bloodshed both within Turkey, and beyond its borders. In his abovementioned speech Turkish Foreign Minister, in fact, reveals its desire to spread that wave in the South Caucasus.

We are confident that our traditional friendly Muslim states, being well aware of Turkey’s real aims, will not be enticed by Turkish provocations”.
