Armenia and Sweden have signed an agreement on elimination of double taxation on income and 
property

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 9, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and Sweden’s Foreign Minister Margot Wallström have signed in Yerevan on February 9 an agreement on the mutual elimination of double taxation of income and property and prevention of tax evasion, “Armenpress” reports.

Speaking to reporters after the signing ceremony, Nalbandian said the two countries are boosting a multifaceted dialogue on domestic, regional and international issues. He said the agreement is important because companies with Swedish capital operate in Armenia. Armenian FM also mentioned both countries are determined to continue the dialogue at the highest level for the deepening of cooperation.

According to him, the sides have reached also an agreement on the improvement of their legal framework and encouragement of investment.

For her part, Margot Wallström emphasized that  signing of the agreement opens up broad opportunities for the development of bilateral commercial and economic relations. She mentioned the signing of the agreement is a significant step which will facilitate Sweden citizens’ activity and life in Armenia and mutually the same in Sweden – for Armenians.

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Kingdom of Sweden were established in 1992. July 10.
