YEREVAN, JANUARY 26, ARMENPRESS.  Armenia is a full CSTO member and takes serious steps to increase its role. “Armenpress” reports the Defense Minister of Armenia states that Armenia, being the presiding state over the Organization this year, has made numerous serious proposals in that regard.

“Armenia strives to see the CSTO as a firm and fully operating organization”, Ohanyan said, adding that Armenia recorded serious achievements last year in terms of partnership with allies. According to the assessment of Seyran Ohanyan, Armenia is seriously engaged in cooperation with both the CSTO and NATO. To the question why the CSTO does not respond when skirmishes occur on Armenia-Azerbaijan border and Azerbaijan violates the ceasefire regime, Ohanyan said that the Armenian Armed Forces are able to retaliate adequately and the final say is after Armenia.
