216 people who suffered pneumonia and acute respiratory infections discharged from hospitals

YEREVAN, JANUARY 26, ARMENPRESS.  216 people who suffered acute respiratory infections were cured and discharged from hospitals of Armenia on January 26. Acute respiratory infection was diagnosed for 131 of them (69 were under 18), and pneumonia was diagnosed for 85 of them, with 37-under 18.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the Health ministry of Armenia, according to the monitoring conducted by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia over acute respiratory infections and flu, the situation is stable. Cases of going ill, as well as critical conditions have a declining tendency. Particularly, there are no critical cases among children and pregnant women. The number of patients receiving treatment at intensive care units has also sharply declined.

All preventive and curative measures are underway. Due to preventive measures, as well as awareness raising activities, a stable situation has been achieved in stationary medical institutions of the republic in terms of acute respiratory infections and pneumonia and decline of applying to ambulatory policlinic centers and calls for ambulance assistance has sharply declined.
