Republican MP considers draft Constitution as document providing many opportunities

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS. Sukias Avetisyan, member of the National Assembly "Republican Party of Armenia" /RPA/ faction, considers that the draft of Constitutional Reforms is a document providing many opportunities to the Republic of Armenia. “Armenpress” reports, that the latter expressed such an opinion during the meeting with journalists held on December 1.

“In case the draft of the Constitutional Reforms is adopted, we will have clear separation of the government branches, changes in the government system, as well as radical changes in the judicial system. Everything is being done to make the National Assembly a platform of multiple opinions, so that each state agency and authority is accountable to the National Assembly. Moreover, our citizens, gathering the required number of signatures, will also be able to participate in political processes, presenting their proposals to the National Assembly related to this or that legislative draft,” Sukias Avetisyan stressed.

He noted that the campaign of the draft Constitutional Reforms was different in the sense that the representatives of “Yes” and “No” conducted a joint campaign.

“Our party is conducting a very effective campaign. We try to be present in almost all the communities as it is necessary to raise their awareness about the Constitutional Reforms by means of personal contacts, clearly explaining the main idea of all the changes,” MP said.
