Consultation on export promotion held at the Government

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS.  Consultation on fostering local production export took place at the Government of the Republic of Armenia chaired by PM Hovik Abrahamyan and attended by interested state bodies and representatives of business environment.

As “Armenpress” was informed from Information and Public Relations Department of the Government, the current situation connected with promotion of local production export, measures taken in that direction, and existing possibilities were discussed during the consultation. In this context, issues referring to export promotion to the Russian Federation and EAEU were particularly touched upon. At the request of the PM, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms Vache Gabrielyan presented the expected situation in case Russia bans Turkish products and possibilities of increasing Armenian exports. Particularly, possible steps and measures in the fields of agriculture, tourism and investments were discussed.

During the exchange of ideas the exporting companies introduced the issues of their concern to the PM. Hovik Abrahamyan mentioned that the Government is ready to support any reasonable initiative aimed at promoting exports. The Head of the Government urged everybody to take advantage of the possibilities stemming from the current situation and increase export volumes to Russia.
