Paris to take serious security measures during World Climate Summit

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS.  Paris seriously prepares for United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP 21, which is to kick off on December 3 and continue for 10 days during which representatives of 195 states will discuss climate change and will initiate projects to prevent global warming.  “Armenpress” reports that in an event that took place in the German embassy in Armenia, the Ambassador of France to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier said that the summit is important not only from environmental perspective but also for preventing dangerous climatic developments.

“After the November 13 terror act, of course, it is a challenge for us to organize the summit with appropriate security warrants and we will spare no efforts to hold an effective summit”, the Ambassador said, adding that the summit will end with signing an agreement, where the works and operations necessary for stopping global warming and minimizing the risks stemming from that will be mentioned there.
