YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS. The forthcoming 3d Business Innovation Forum (BIF) "Armenia 20.18 – Armenia among 20 most innovative countries by 2018" will take place on the 13-14th of November, at Dilijan city and will be held in the resort complex “Dilijan.”As “Armenpress” reports,   this was announced today by the BIF organizer Mr. Karen Vardanyan, Executive Director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE), and BIF General Sponsor, Mr. Harutyun Hambardzumyan, Vice Chairman of BetConstruct''.

Business Innovation Forum is a platform for knowledge sharing and practical solutions discussions among the local and international experts of the high-tech and related industries. The key topic of the discourse is the positioning of Armenia among the 20 most innovative countries in the world. 

The Executive Director of the UITE, Mr. Karen Vardanyan underlined the following, “In the frames of the Business Innovation Forum we are trying to bring together international expertise and innovation policy to Armenia. In addition, we aim to make businesses and government agencies cooperate in the field of innovation.”

Business Innovation Forum's General sponsor, Vice Chairman of BetConstruct , Mr.Harutyun Hambardzumyan added, “It is the second year that the BetConstruct Company is sponsoring the Forum. The reason behind is that this year, our company received the most prestigious award “The Innovator of the year” in the international gaming industry. The Innovative Technologies are the key to our success and I am sure it is vital for the development of Armenia and the Armenian companies.”

The key speakers of the two-day Innovation Forum are representatives of local and international companies. The keynote speaker is Mr. Elena Donets, Israel's leading entrepreneur and the executive director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of StarTAU Israel.

This year the thematic sessions of the Forum are:

• Innovation Ecosystems

• Innovation and Education

• Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The traditionally held Business Innovation Forum is expecting to host leading experts from the education and entrepreneurship fields. Around 200 participants from the leading sectors of Armenia and abroad, such as high-tech companies and other industries, state agencies, educational institutions, diplomatic missions, business agencies, consulting firms, international organizations, entrepreneurs, media, and etc will attend the forum.

For the 3rd consecutive year, the Union has traditionally carried out the Business Innovation Forum under the auspices and participation of the Prime Minister, Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan. The General sponsor of the event is the “BetConstruct” company. 

He also added that the activities undertaken by the UITE are aimed to make Armenia recognizable in  the international market. In order to achieve the goals, there are several projects initiated by UITE: the establishment of engineering labs and robotics clubs in the Armenian schools, "Why Armenia" concept and its implementation. Armenia has an enormous engineering solution potential, which is not presented relevantly to the relevant market.

Frequently during the international business meetings the question raises why should cooperation be established with the Armenian companies. The UITE has an answer to that, as Armenia has enough potential to provide unexpected engineering solutions that are distinguished by quality, creativity, and flexibility.
