YEREVAN, OCTOBER 8, ARMENPRESS. Republic of Armenia Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Niger Aïchatou Kané Boulama who is in Armenia to attend the 31st session of the Conference of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the International Organization of La Francophonie.

As “Armenpress” was informed by the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of Foreign Ministry of Armenia, Nalbandian greeted the guest thanking her for attending the Conference of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the International Organization of La Francophonie. Minister Nalbandian noted that it was symbolic to receive the first delegation arriving from Niger and added that the visit created possibilities for holding discussions on developing the cooperation between the 2 countries in different spheres.

Minsiter Nalbandian expressed condolence to Foreign Minister of Niger on the death of citizens of Niger during the tragedy occurring in Mecca.

At Minister Nalbandian’s request, Foreign Minister of Niger talked about the situation created in the region resulting from the actions on the part of “Boko Haram” and other terrorist groups and the steps taken against the latter.

The parties also discussed the issue of formation of legal and contractual field, as well as possibilities of cooperation in the framework of international organizations.
