176 first-year students from border communities got tuition reimbursement

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS. 176 students from 33 border communities of provinces were provided tuition reimbursement for the first semester of the 2015-2016 academic year by youth foundation. Students of the undergraduate educational system existing in state, non-state and interstate institutions were provided tuition reimbursement.

“Such initiative started to be taken from January 2015. The government allocated appropriate sum for the students studying on border communities and we reimbursed tuition for 140 students by the first stage. We expanded the scale in this semester. If only the students of the state institutions got tuition reimbursement before, now the program benefits everyone”. Karen Avagyan, president of the Armenian Republican Party's Youth Council mentioned  about this in the interview with journalists.

According to his speech, the price of this program is 38 million and Armenian Youth Foundation also used its savings to implement the program.

“We try to alleviate the financial problems of our students”, Karen Avagyan told.
