Sharmazanov: Political consolidation over Constitutional reforms is a reality

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS. The vote held on the draft Constitution at the National Assembly displayed that political consolidation and consensus over this issue are realities. Vice-President of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov expressed such an opinion during the hour of announcements at the National Assembly. “After a long-lasting discussion the National Assembly voted and adopted the draft Constitutional reforms proposed by the President of the Republic of Armenia. Interestingly, there was not a single political faction that all its members voted against”, “Armenpress” reports, Sharmazanov mentioned.

He considers it natural that there are MPs who are against the reforms. “I have already had the chance to mention that the Armenian nation will decide everything through referendum. And those who try to see the referendum as a line between the government and opposition, are, mildly said, caught up in imbroglio”, Vice President of the Parliament concluded.
