YEREVAN, OCTOBER 5, ARMENPRESS. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, attended the event dedicated to “World Architecture Day” at the conference hall of the Government.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the Information and Public Relations Department of the Government of Armenia, PM Abrahamyan congratulated the architects present at the event on the occasion of their professional day and mentioned that the profession of architect has always been valued in the Armenian history. “This is the second year that with a particular appreciation and celebration of the “World Architecture Day”, I want to once again stress that, as the head of the government, we attach great importance to your national-traditional profession, the fruits of your creative mind, which serve to our public after being constructed”, the PM said.

Hovik Abrahamyan mentioned that that Armenian modern architecture, continuing the rich traditions of the sector, creates constructions which we are proud of and which are the face of our country.

According to PM Abrahamyan, the activities of the Government are aimed at the implementation of active investment projects. The Government elaborates a number of investment projects that are to significantly foster the growth rate of the construction sector. The head of the Government mentioned that numerous educational, cultural, sport and various service centers, including world famous hotels, have opened in the country this year. According to the PM, bills elaborated by the collaboration of Urban Development Ministry and the Union of Architects of Armenia are on the agenda of the Government, the implementation of which will give solution to many problems facing the sector.

“We can attract investments and record economic growth in the construction sphere only under the atmosphere of cooperation. The architectural mind must be active and practical resulting in new splendid constructions”, Hovik Abrahamyan said, wishing fruitful work and creative success.
