YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS. “Shant 2015” Military Command and Staff Exercises symbolize maturity of the Armenian statehood. Rector of "Academy of Justice" of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Melikyan expressed such an opinion in his talk with “Armenpress”. “These exercises are unprecedented by their scale and circle of exposure. I am greatly satisfies with the organization of the exercises. Such exercises are a necessity for a country in such a condition. Maybe this is the reason why misunderstanding occurs among the population resulting from these exercises.”, noted Ruben Melikyan.

According to the lawyer to reach tangible results such exercises must be held at least once a year and be of more local character so that more citizens are aware of how to behave in different situations.

On September 3 “Shant 2015” Military Command and Staff Exercises started in Armenia.

The nationwide event “Shant 2015” Exercises are aimed at raising the level of state’s immediate preparation for defense, military and state bodies mobilization preparedness in repulsing the act of aggression, rechecking the ability of bringing to high degree of readiness and raising the level of harmony in cooperation and actions.

Taking into account the military and political situation surrounding Armenia, the scenario of the Exercises includes а fictious rival and the situation is maximally adapted to reality.
