Venice Commission to refer to article of Constitutional Reforms dealing with ensuring stable 
majority

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS. Venice Commission will express another opinion on the Constitutional Reforms in Armenia till September 12. Venice Commission will refer to article 89 that deals with ensuring stable majority and organization of second stage elections if required. Member of the Specialized Commission on Constitutional Reforms, Vardan Poghosyan said the aforementioned in parliamentary hearings of National Assembly Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs in response to head of "Prosperous Armenia" party Naira Zohrabyan’s question.

“At the meeting with the members of Venice Commission we have made certain arrangements related to the need of ensuring stable majority and organization of second stage elections. They promised to present another opinion on the Constitutional Reforms in Armenia till September 12 in which they will also refer to the provision of ensuring stable majority”, “Armenpress” reports, Poghosyan noted adding that draft Constitution is not the final version and it can be subjected to changes as a result of National Assembly discussions.
